LATITUDE 121 OPENING IN STONY BROOK VILLAGE CENTER
Stony Brook, NY – Top restaurateur, Lindsey Blakeslee Chalifoux, General Manager of The Oar Steak & Seafood Grill in Patchogue will be bringing her talents to the Stony Brook Village Center, opening Latitude 121 in the space formerly occupied by The Brook House Restaurant.
Open Table listed The Oar among the Top 100 Waterfront Restaurants in the United States in 2013. Owner Richard Blakeslee, Lindsey’s father, transformed it from a snack bar in 1989, to a 180-seat full service restaurant with catering facilities. Richard and Lindsey will now co-own Lattitude 121.
The name “Lattitude 121” was chosen as the restaurant interior will have a nautical theme and also for its actual location, which is 121 Main Street in Stony Brook. It will offer casual family dining with a nautical flair serving certified black angus beef burgers & steaks, lobster pot pie, fresh local oysters and clams, fresh and local seafood, local produce, homemade desserts and a full service ice cream parlor with ice cream, shakes and smoothies. Of course, there will also be a menu for the little ones.
“We are looking forward to bringing our experience, energy and commitment to one of Long Islands most historic and vibrant communities,” the Blakeslee Family says and they are planning the opening as quickly as possible.
