The challenges of preserving our rich heritage continue into the 21st
century. The costs of maintaining the historic buildings and natural
resources, and continually upgrading our programming are substantial.
Fundraising
events such as the Long Island Golden Eagle Award Dinner and the Golf Classic help
support the historic and environmental preservation and education programs of The Ward
Melville Heritage Organization. Scores of volunteers help make these events a
success.
Funding from Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation,
Department of Environmental Conservation, Natural Heritage Trust, Zoos, Botanical Gardens
and Aquaria, corporations, along with individual donations help to offset the cost of programming.
Only through annual support are we able to continue these programs
and services. The Ward Melville Heritage Organization is a 501(c)3
not-for-profit corporation, so
your donation is tax deductible to the extent of the law.
