Unique Dining Experiences

Several of the restaurants in Stony Brook will have Mother’s Day themed menus. The Three Village Inn is offering a Mother’s Day Grand Buffet from 11:00am to 6:00pm. The assortment includes a cold display, soups and salad, a carving station, chafing dishes, traditional side dishes, desserts and also a kid’s station for one price.

The always beautifully decorated Country House will be decked out for spring and will offer a Mother’s Day themed menu. For example, all of the first dishes are named after first ladies. The second course dishes are named after nursery rhyme moms, such as Mother Goose and Mother Hubbard. Main dishes are named after TV moms, such as Mrs. Cleaver, Mrs. Brady, Marge Simpson, etc. And all the desserts are named after famous food moms, such as Betty Crocker, Mrs. Fields, etc.

Robinson’s Tea Room, which serves high tea and other sweet and savory treats, is already booked for Mother’s Day, but you can certainly plan another day in this special little place.

Sweet Mama’s will be serving some special treats the entire Mother’s Day weekend. You can order lobster and guacamole eggs benedict; oreo pancakes or apple pie waffles, in addition to the restaurant’s other delicious selections. There will also be some specialty cocktails offered, including fresh strawberry mimosas and bourbon peach-infused iced tea.

Pentimento is offering a special Mother’s Day Brunch menu including small plates including fresh oyster, asparagus soup and salmon and caper flat bread. Main dishes include frittata, breakfast gnocchi, and house cured gravlax. Desserts include Nutella sandwich and house-made carrot cake.
